Melofeed® is a Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) extracted from French melon, using a micro-encapsulation process. Melofeed SOD stimulates the expression of endogenous SOD, catalase, and GHS-Px.
SOD, or Superoxide Dismutase, is the primary antioxidant or the most effective free radical scavenger produced within the body. One molecule of SOD can neutralize 1,000,000 molecules of free radicals, which is different from secondary antioxidants that can only neutralize on a 1:1 ratio and cannot be regenerated.
